Roald Dahl Donation

On International Nurse’s Day and during Mental Health Week, we are delighted to announce that Roald Dahl‘s Marvellous Children’s Charity is a Giving To Services beneficiary charity! We have gifted the charity a grant that has provided nurses with vital training in how to deal with mental health within patients, parents and siblings. This training ensures that the nurses are able to help so many children and their families with their illnesses. As of this week, 30 nurses have received this training and we are delighted to have been able to provide this.

Roald Dahl believed in the importance of children and in helping them overcome life’s toughest challenges. He was one of the world’s most imaginative and loved storytellers and he left a marvellous legacy – Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which provides specialist nurses and support to seriously ill children, was established in 1991 by Roald Dahl’s widow Felicity, shortly after his death. Today, there are currently 82 Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses caring for over 24,000 seriously ill children across the UK. Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses are a vital lifeline to the children and their families, supporting them clinically and emotionally. The charity supports children and young people affected by complex, lifelong illnesses that are under-funded, under-resourced and under-recognised including Rare Diseases, Sickle Cell Anaemia, Neuro-Muscular Conditions and Epilepsy. The charity also supports children and young people as they move from children’s to adult services.

The Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses that our grant is helping, are experts in their field, specially trained and dedicated to a group of individual patients. They work within the NHS in fields that have fewer resources than others including Epilepsy, brain injuries, Sickle Cell Disease, Rare Diseases and transitional care. They are a consistent presence in the child’s life from initial diagnosis through to the child’s transition to adult services. They advise, they reassure, and they become “part of the family.” Their specialist training such as that of the mental health training we are supporting them with, allows them to coordinate complex care needs, reducing hospital visits for children and families. They act as an advocate for children and families within the healthcare system and can facilitate urgent hospital care if required. They educate both the family, other health professionals and school about their patient’s condition. They connect patients and families to other families with similar conditions. They help ensure that the children in their care receive the benefits to which they are entitled. Ultimately, their nurses are a vital lifeline for seriously ill children and their families and we are so pleased to be supporting them.

Giving To Services are committed to the future of making crypto green which is why we have joined the Crypto Climate Accord. We have been working alongside the Accord and the fellow signatories for a number of months to collectively share ideas and knowledge to ensure we focus on the decarbonising of the cryptocurrency industry. The CCA was inspired by the Paris Climate Agreement in which the Accord’s overall objective is to decarbonise the global crypto industry by prioritising climate stewardship and supporting the entire crypto industry’s transition to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
They suggest that the Crypto industry as a whole consumes 85-150 TWH/year and they believe that the CCA can help to bring in tens of TWH of additional renewable energy demand onto the market. They hope that by creating more demand for renewables this will in turn, attract the solution.

The Accord has two objectives:

Objective 1:
Achieve net-zero emissions from electricity consumption for CCA
Signatories by 2030.

Objective 2: Develop standards, tools, and technologies with CCA Supporters to
accelerate the adoption of and verify progress toward 100% renewably-
powered blockchains by the 2025 UNFCCC COP30 conference.

By joining with them as a signatory, we have affirmed our public commitment to achieve net-zero emissions from electricity consumption associated with all of our crypto-related operations and to report progress toward this net-zero emissions target using best industry practices. We will be working as a collective with the other signatories and supporters of the CCA in close working relationships to solve this together.

Project Recap

SVS token has one big purpose, enabling us to invest in and utilise cryptocurrencies and at the same time support charitable causes, for example: rewards for government service members globally who do so many great things for us right now on the frontline with very little protection for their financial future. SVS is fully committed to changing this in a sustainable way.

Over the last 12months the SVS platform has been fully developed by our in-house team and is now live. Currently there are 736 users registered on the platform and 948mil tokens staked, earning investors rewards within their chosen investment basket.

The team continue to work hard and the below should give some clarity on the last 12 months work and more importantly what the next 12 months will look like.

May 2021: Token swap/air drop for existing token holders. SVS token created to replace the original SVCS token. SVS token creation was required for two reasons. Firstly the SVCS token, whilst robust, was not fully compatible with the new SVS staking platform. Secondly and more importantly, legal opinion was taken and the advice was that the existing SVCS token may not be considered a full utility staking token. With this considered, the team made the decision to create SVS to be fully compatible with the SVS platform and legally compliant as a utility staking token. SVS has been fully audited and subject to a legal opinion in which we have official utility status which is vital for our US market and the SEC in particular.

VASP license application: SVS applied for a VASP license in the Cayman Islands like many other crypto assets. This license was meant to be used as the legal framework for assets to adhere to, once it was made into law. However, CIMA is reporting large delays in not only processing applications but actually providing the detail around the framework and the license. We made the decision to no longer wait for this hurdle to be resolved with no time frame indication given by CIMA, more details about our progress below.

SVS audited by Certik: Certik are widely known as one of the premier third party auditors of crypto assets. Certik completed their SVS audit in late 2021 and issued their findings. In short, SVS passed the audit in great shape with a score of 93%. Out of the circa 1,800 tokens audited globally, SVS are ranked within the top 100 tokens by Certik.
It is incredibly important to us that SVS is able to hold its own amongst the biggest assets in the world and put institutions at ease. Regulation, Audit, Legal opinion.

Token performance:

We have seen over the last 12 months, the SVCS/SVS token rising to a high of nearly $0.07 and declining in value since that high. Reason for this decline is that early adopters of the token have been selling their tokens and taking profit on their investment. Our focus has been on completing tech build, gaining audit and regulation. Our lack of self promotion and sales during this time has seen the selling of tokens outweigh the buying demand by new investors and is the reason for the decline in token value over this period. We fully expect that the recent trend to switch, demand for SVS to outweigh selling as the marketing and global awareness for SVS increases. Our product is complete and we now switch to the marketing phase to tell the world about it. See more below on our marketing partnership and strategy.

Regulation: we have to ensure we are compliant with various and complex laws. Together with a strong legal team we are setting the foundation to become fully licensed and regulated in Dubai due to the Cayman Island VASP license delays. Dubai is the world’s crypto hub and Giving To Services is currently going through the incorporation process and application for License 6599-92 Proprietary Trading in Crypto Commodities. This in itself will set another competitive advantage for us, as most decentralised finance projects are not regulated. We expect to be registered and fully regulated in Dubai by May 2022.

Exchange listings:

We have 6 exchange offerings all top 25 exchanges. As a team we are focused on top tier exchanges ranked 10 and higher. Through a strategic partnership we have 2 x top five exchanges we can push through when the time is right in 2022.

This is perhaps the most significant development both from a public facing impact, but also an investment from the team. Our marketing partner CrowdCreate is the world’s best agency in this space. They are behind the success of Axie and Sand (both now Top 50 assets by marketcap). Currently CrowdCreate are rebuilding and designing our website to be relaunched in the coming weeks. Together we are also bringing in key advisors and strategic partners.
The expertise CrowdCreate have and will be imparting to Giving To Services is absolutely huge, but it’s their influence and contacts that will
make an immense difference to the team, the users of the platform, the daily trading volume and ultimately the value of SVS.

The next few months will provide not only a huge improvement to our platform and cause but also set the foundation for significant growth. We are very excited to go on this journey with you!

How We Give Back

Christmas is a double edged sword for many people, particularly those who are under financial pressure, and over the past couple of years that has been something that we have all felt a little bit more. The team at Giving To Services decided collectively, that a group we’d all like to make Christmas that little bit easier for, were front line NHS workers. Through our partnership with service community based clothing brand Sin Eaters Guild, we created a collaboration hoodie that we donated to thirty NHS workers who either responded to our social media requests for them to contact us, or who were suggested to us by their friends. The best part is, we threw in the real help, a £100 Amazon gift voucher with each one. We know it made a real difference to a group of people who don’t ask for help naturally.
We also ran our 12 days of Christmas campaign, in which we gave more £100 vouchers away to tagged followers and furthermore, we donated to two charities suggested by our community. These fantastic charities were, ’Mind’, who help people suffering with mental health issues and Scottys Little Soldiers, who support the children of Military personnel killed on operations.

SVS Audited by CertiK

The Giving To Services team are really pleased to announce our SVS token has completed its audit process by CertiK, the global leader in smart contract and blockchain security.

The auditing process pays special attention to the following considerations:

  • Testing the smart contracts against both common and uncommon attack vectors.
  • Assessing the codebase to ensure compliance with current best practices and industry standards.
  • Ensuring contract logic meets the specifications and intentions of the client.
  • Cross referencing contract structure and implementation against similar smart contracts produced by industry leaders.
  • Thorough line-by-line manual review of the entire codebase by industry experts.

During the process CertiK found one major issue that required action and one informational issue that didn’t.
The major issue concerned ‘Centralisation/Privilege’, namely that a mint function existed that would allow attackers or the owners to mint unlimited tokens. This function has now been burned, locking the total supply of SVS to 10,000,000,000 (10 Billion). As a result of us burning this ability CertiK have marked this issue as ‘Resolved’ and we need take no further action.

We’re very happy with our score of 93% and our current ranking of #70 out of 1400 CertiK audited tokens, but we’re always working to improve!

SVS Token Update

We thought we’d take the time to answer some frequently asked questions for SVS token holders who aren’t yet part of our Discord server. We’ll aim to do more of these updates as the work on the project drives forward.

1: Where does the ETH go from the swap function on the platform?

The swap function is connected to Uniswap SVS/ETH pool. We all know how high gas prices have been recently so to save users gas fees (which we have seen in excess of $100 consistently) the swap pulls directly from the treasury so no gas fee is required. The ETH is then run through the exchanges either via Uniswap when the Gas is more reasonable or converted into USD and put through P2PB2B as buy orders.

2: Future exchange listings guideline are on the roadmap.

We are already ahead for Q1 with CoinsBIT coming in before Christmas. We are being approached now by exchanges as well as reaching out to key exchanges to list too. It’s not an easy process to navigate. Some exchanges promise the earth and don’t deliver, some have fake volume so we are making sure we talk to the credible exchanges. Some listings we turn down due to their listing fee being far in excess of what we have paid for to date despite being a lower ranking exchange.
We have three exchange offerings we are happy with at the moment, we are just making sure it matches our volume/liquidity requirements.

3: Crowdcreate are the world’s best marketing agency. Fact.

The work they have done previously on other projects is huge. It’s not just marketing they bring though, it’s the doors they can open for us too. In terms of time scales they are already building for us, perhaps not overtly on socials but the connections are being made. We anticipate full mass market marketing to take place in April. Why the wait ? Because we want to get it right. Previous Youtube videos and marketing wasn’t fruitful for various reasons discussed before. April also gives us time to solidify the bigger exchange listings to maximise liquidity opportunities.
StarAtlas is just one of the CrowdCreate success stories. Since CC finished the marketing for StarAtlas, $Atlas now has a consistent daily volume of $10mil +.

4: Dubai registration is happening as we speak.

Dubai we see as the ‘crypto hub’ of the world, certainly in the next few years. It makes sense for us to be at the heart of that. Also BVI and Caymans haven’t made the VASP licence in to law yet and we can’t afford to wait or keep jumping through hoops just for the goal posts to be moved each time.

5: CrowdCreate are working on a visual rebrand.

There will be a redesigned website prior to the mass market launch and alongside the partnerships with organisations and key individuals we are in really good shape.  Please check out the team page of CrowdCreate and look at the pedigree of people we are now working with. We know sometimes in crypto people expect things at lightning speed and moons tomorrow. Our view that is echoed by CrowdCreate, is that we do things right and everything will fall in place.

6: Team Updates.

Expansion. 2 x Junior Devs to support Jens (CTO), an MLRO and CFO as well as 2 x community service agents to provide almost 24hr coverage as we move to the US.Service focus; With the advise of CrowdCreate and the redesign we are going to open up to all services globally quicker than planned. We are still supporting the NHS, we are just opening up to the other services and military globally. Why ? Market reach faster. The US in particular is prime for this on the advice we have taken from CrowdCreate, ‘Thank you for your service’ is a real culture out there so we believe we can help a lot of people whilst promoting SVS (increasing the volume & market cap).

As ever, thank you for your support of Giving To Services and our SVS token. We’re a mission focused team committed to using our crypto to give back to the community of service people we respect and are thankful for.
