22nd August Update: Armed Forces Covenant, crypto events, CEO thank you and more!

It’s time for another update from the Giving To Services team! It’s been a great few weeks with some great progress. Take a look at some of the things we've been up to below!

The XRPL Build

‍

The GTS Dev team have been working on the backend of the platform to create the key management system required for all XRPL related assets to be deposited and withdrawn by users, so all key storing and retrieving logistics for XRPL are now built for SVS wallets.

The next goal for the Dev team is to add functionality to the backend, specifically sending and detecting XRPL transactions through the existing wallet system.

Armed Forces Covenant 

‍

We’re pleased to announce that Giving To Services has been awarded the Bronze Award for the Armed Forces Covenant Employers Recognition Scheme. The award acknowledges companies who have provided exceptional support to the armed forces community and defence by going above and beyond their covenant pledges.

For those who haven’t heard of the AFC before, their website’s description is as follows;

“To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you.

It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.”

We’ve been given the Bronze award due to our commitment to support the Armed Forces and us being a Forces friendly employer.  The whole team at GTS are honoured to have received the award and we look forward to going further and being granted Silver and Gold awards in future. You can read more here.

Crypto Events

‍

After the success of the team's attendance at Fintech Week London in July we have decided to attend some more events throughout the rest of the year! 

‍

In September we are heading to Zebu Live, a 2 day Web3 and Crypto conference in London. Attendees include the likes of Forbes, Crypto News and UK Parliament, alongside many other fantastic speakers. 

‍

In October we will be attending Blockworks: Digital Asset Summit in London. DAS is the institutionally focused crypto conference for asset managers and financial services professionals. During this two day in-person event, industry leaders from the world of finance and digital assets will gather to discuss crypto from the perspective of industry practitioners.

Finally in November we will be flying out to Lisbon, Portugal to attend the WOW Summit. WOW Summit is one of the world's main international events for networking in which it strives to promote partnerships and the future of Web3 tech at the highest level!

We are looking forward to gaining connections within the Crypto and Web3 space at these fantastic events whilst increasing our knowledge and most importantly, we are excited to spread the word of our mission here at Giving To Services.
